COVID 19 - GUEST INFORMATION

COVID-19 – Coire Glas Guest House is Committed to your Health and Safety


We are currently living in a different world with the need to increase hygiene and social distancing levels to keep our Guest House and you, our guests, safe.  


We have always considered cleanliness to be a vitally important part of our success, but during the current situation, we have increased the levels of cleaning to greatly reduce the risk of contracting a virus from customers & visitors to our area and our home.


As a result, we have changed many of our daily practices and services to minimize the risk of contracting and spreading coronavirus.  All of these rules will be constantly revised and subject to change, in accordance with Scottish Government advice and “best practices”. These protocols are in place to protect you, ourselves and other guests. We ask that you may understand and respect them


We have completely revised our cleaning regime for rooms and public spaces and until the end of the crisis period, we will wear masks/face coverings in all guest areas and we will ask our guests to respect the social distance between us. 


On arrival, we will ask you to stay in the car park area and we will come outside to greet you while we  social distance arrivals between guests.  


When you walk in the public areas of our B&B where the chances of contact with other guests are increased, we ask you to respect social distance.  If you also feel more comfortable wearing a face mask, please do.  


Check-in and check-out will be undertaken with "social distance" in mind.  Hand cleaning is compulsory on arrival, our sanitising facility is in the reception area (and sitting area).


Each bedroom will always offer freshly and hygienically cleaned linen, items such as the tea/coffee tray are sanitised between guests, as is the hairdryer.  


Our sitting area and outdoor terrace will remain open and we will ask you to respect government directives regarding social distancing.  


Breakfast is prepared in our on-site kitchen and only by us. We have no employees or people entering our kitchen from outside our accommodation. 


Breakfast will be pre-ordered and sittings will be spaced between 0730 and 0900 to allow for social distancing.  We ask that guests remain seated at all times, we will serve you at your table and if you need anything at all, please ask.  We ask that Guests disinfect their hands in the sitting area before arriving and also after leaving the dining area.  You will be allocated your tables so that we can ensure social distancing is followed at all times. 


The payment of your stay may be made remotely, using the bank card given at reservation.  Otherwise we have the facility to accept alternative cards on site or cash.  We will continue to sanitise our credit card equipment between payments.   


For stays of more than one consecutive night, during this period of higher risk, and in order to respect your personal space we will not perform room cleaning service during your stay unless requested. However, new towels and other supplies will be available upon request.  


Should a guest show non-compliance with our policies as well as government directives, they will be asked to leave the premises immediately, billing for the stay will remain applicable


Should a guest show symptoms of a virus which could harm other guests and ourselves, they will be asked to leave the premises immediately, the services used will be invoiced.


And don't forget - Until further notice, you must ensure that your reservation meets current government travel restrictions.


Despite the necessary rules and restrictions, we want to assure you that we will continue to offer you our best service and we will continue to do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
